Marjorie Wehman Obituary

Marjorie Zillah Knight Wehman, of Barefoot Bay, Florida, passed away March 7, 2024 following a stroke. With family by her side, she was ready and prepared to go home to Jesus.

Marjorie was born November 21, 1931 in Elyria, Ohio, the daughter of the late Jack and Ena Knight. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Jack Knight and her husband, Thomas Wehman.

She was proud of her English heritage as her parents made the long journey from England to America, where they established a family-run business, Jack Knight the Dry Cleaner. After Marjorie became the owner and operator of the dry cleaner, she worked there until her retirement in 1999.

Marjorie followed in her father's footsteps by retiring to Barefoot Bay. She loved watching the birds and other wildlife in her backyard pond and the golfers on the course behind her home. And she thoroughly enjoyed the amazing sunsets.

Formerly, she was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Church of the Open Door in Elyria. She was also a longtime member of the Riverside Church in Sebastian. For many years, she led a Bible study group and helped with a ministry program for homeless people. She was always a faithful servant.

Marjorie is survived by her sons, Guy Wehman of Montreal, Missouri, Brad Wehman (Guyla) of Bonita Springs, Florida and Stephen Wehman of Naples, Florida; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

A service will be Friday, April 12, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel at Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
