Agnes M. Vincent

Agnes M. Vincent (nee Schaefer), 94, of Elyria, died October 10, 2010 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Avon.

She was born September 22, 1916 in Elyria where she had lived most of her life and had also resided in North Ridgeville for several years. She was a 1934 graduate of Elyria High School and was formerly employed at General Industries in Elyria.

Agnes was a member of St. Jude Church in Elyria and a former member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She had been an EMH Regional Medical Center Auxiliary volunteer and also enjoyed traveling and camping.

Agnes is survived by sons Robert C. (Victoria) Vincent of Spencer, Donald A. Vincent of Elyria and Lawrence A. (Kathleen) Vincent of Avon Lake; nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years, Harland L.Vincent; daughter, Joan Booth; brothers, Albert and Sylvester Schaefer and a sister Bernadette Reitz.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria where the Altar and Rosary Society will conduct a service at 7:30 PM. Closing prayers will be Thursday 10:15 a.m. in the funeral home followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral mass at St. Jude Church, 590 Poplar St., Elyria. Reverend Frank P. Kosem will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Elyria.
