Amanda C. Rutz (nee Snyder), 31, of Elyria, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday March 26, 2025. She was born July 2, 1993 in Elyria, was a 2011 graduate of Lorain Admiral King High School and served with the United States Air Force. She liked music, playing guitar and collecting pressed pennies. Amanda loved her children, animals and sharing Pokemon with her son. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Elyria.
Amanda is survived by her husband of 8 years, Michael Steven; children, Noah, Mikayla and Evan Rutz; brother, Jerry (Madison) Snyder III; mother, Teresa (Tom) Adams; step-brother, Iain (Brittany) Adams; step-sister, Stephanie (Justin) Oviatt; nephews, Greyson and Asher; uncles, Steve Dempsey and Tim (Laura) Dempsey; grandmothers, Betty Dempsey, Darlene Handyside and Delores Snyder; mother and father-in-law, Rachelle and Michael A. Rutz and other cousins, aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Snyder, Jr.; grandfathers, Cecil Dempsey and Jerry Snyder, Sr. and step-grandfather, Don Handyside.
Friends will be received Wednesday, April 2, 2025 from 4:00 pm until the time of a 6:00 pm service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria with Lemuel Uliano officiating.
