Ann C. Ackerman (nee Diederich), 79, of North Ridgeville, died Friday, February 11, 2011.She was born August 24, 1931 in Lakewood, OH and was a lifelong resident of North Ridgeville, graduating from North Ridgeville High School in 1949.She enjoyed being a homemaker, cooking, gardening and walking, watching the birds, squirrels and wildlife around her home and spending time and fishing at the family cabin in Coshocton, OH.Ann is survived by her husband of 58 years, Theodore J.; sons Theodore J. (Carol) Ackerman of Shreve, OH; John A. Ackerman of North Ridgeville; daughters Barbara A. (Jack) Hoyt of New Russia Township and Jill M. (Brent) Brentzel of Nassau Bay, TX; grandchildren Janelle and Andrew Ackerman, Sarah (Christian) Sent, Rebecca and Benjamin Hoyt, Julia and Jakob Brentzel and a sister Lois Kern of Ft. Myers, FL.She was preceded in death by sisters Vrena Myers, Genevieve Smith, Martina Ternes, Molly Mahl, Bernice Wysocky and Bernadine Jalowiec; brothers Mike, Leonard and Bernard Diederich and parents William and Julia Diederich.A private memorial service will be Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria, OH. Reverend Charles T. Diedrick will officiate.Inurnment will be in New Russia Township Cemetery.
