Arthur Horn

Arthur Horn, 83, father of Scott (Jane) Horn, Wendy (Frank) Horvath (nee Horn) and Dean (David) Horn; step father to Dawn (Jared) Smith (nee Tanner), passed away peacefully at Avenue at North Ridgeville at sundown on Summer Solstice 2025. Aside from his children, Art is survived by his former wife, Teresa James, four grandchildren, a dear nephew and many cousins and friends. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Helen Horn (nee Bakies), his brother Alan Horn, and his niece, Kimberly Glauner (nee Horn). 

Art most loved music and nature. He spent many days hiking, mostly in the southern Appalachians where he lived for fifteen years before moving back to the Cleveland area. 

In keeping with Art’s humble spirit, a simple celebration of life will be at 11:30 am Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria.  Friends will be received from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. 

His earthly remains will be scattered on his favorite trail in the Great Smoky Mountains by his neighbors and friends there.
