Beatrice C. Jalowiec

Beatrice C. Jalowiec nee: Guthman, 88, of Elyria, died Wednesday May 12, 2010 at Life Care Center of Elyria. She was born July 4, 1921 in Elyria, where she has been a lifelong resident.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Elyria, Elyria Womens Senior Fellowship and a 70 year member of the M.N.O. Club. She was proud of her family, and especially enjoyed following the activities of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Beatrice is survived by a son, T. Lynn (Marianne) Jalowiec of Grafton; daughters, Judith A. Beal of Bostic, North Carolina and Susan N. (Charles) Maurer of Yardley, Pennsylvania; grandchildren Kyle and Kory Jalowiec, Brian and Bradley Beal, Julie Hollifield, Courtney, Ashley and Whitney Maurer; great grandchildren, Christopher, Amber, Stephen, Ashley, Hannah and Caroline and a great great-granddaughter Braelyn.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Theodore Jalowiec in 1999; parents Clarence and Martha Guthman and brothers, Roger, Roland and Raymond Guthman.

The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. A funeral service will be Tuesday 11:00 A.M. at St. John Lutheran Church, 1140 West River Road North, Elyria. Reverend Von Berlin will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Church or the Kidney Foundation of Ohio, 2831 Prospect Avenue, Cleveland 44115.
