Beverly Ann Ferguson (nee Terry), 97, of Elyria, died peacefully September 5, 2025. She was born August 6, 1928 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Gerald and Vivian Terry. Beverly graduated from Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts. She married Henry Bannon Ferguson June 15, 1950 and they shared 62 wonderful years together before his passing in 2012.
Beverly’s life was marked by volunteering her time and talents. For over 40 years, she Brailled algebra textbooks and served weekly at the Cleveland Sight Center. She also served alongside Hank as a Youth Forum advisor at the First Congregational Church in Elyria. You could often find her knitting newborn baby hats for hospitals. Her other interests included skiing, bridge, and book club.
Beverly is survived by daughters Judy (Randy Wilcox) Ferguson of Columbus, Ohio, Jackie (Marty) Mosley of Allen, Texas and Patty (Daryl Borsheim) Ferguson of Aurora, Colorado; grandchildren Ezekiel (Monica) Ferguson, Nathan Ferguson, Heather (Jimi) Leonard, Brian (Julie) Mosley, Scott (Holley) Mosley, John (Mel) Hockin and Jonathan (Katie) Bortz; eleven great grandchildren; and brothers, James and Robert Terry.
She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Ferguson; son, William A. Ferguson; parents and a brother, Gerald Terry.
A memorial service will be Friday October 3, 2025 at 10:00 am at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria with Reverend Kathy Ketchum officiating. Interment will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
