Bonnie L. Goodwin

Bonnie L. Goodwin (nee Travis), 89, of Elyria, passed away peacefully in her sleep Thursday April 10, 2025.  She was born February 11, 1936 in Larimer, PA. and moved to Elyria as a young girl. She spent her childhood exploring Cascade Park and enjoyed watching baseball with her father. After living in Florida for a time to be closer to her mother, Bonnie and Jack returned to Ohio to be near their children and grandchildren. She worked at several jobs, with her most enjoyable being a counter clerk at Real Cleaners in Elyria. Bonnie had a passion for music, especially jazz and the Bee Gees. She enjoyed spending time with her family, her dogs, and taking part in hobbies like puzzles and reading. She also enjoyed camping with friends and family.

Bonnie is survived by her daughters, Randi Smallwood, Renee Wood and Robbi Goodwin; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Jack; firstborn son, Chris; parents, John and Myrtle Travis and a brother.

The family thanks the staff of Life Care Center of Elyria and Hospice of the Western Reserve for their care and support.

Friends will be received Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from 3:00 pm until the time of a 4:30 pm memorial service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria with Adam Warmath officiating.
