Catherine Hawley

Catherine Hawley (nee Durham), 76, of Elyria, died Monday January 19, 2026 at Keystone Pointe, LaGrange. She was born December 16, 1949 in Gadsen County, FL.  She was a devoted member and past president of the Eagles Club Ladies Auxiliary. Cathy enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren, cake decorating, baking, cooking and crocheting.

Cathy is survived by children, John Hawley of AZ, Terry Hawley of Elyria, Charles (Debbie) Hawley of Elyria and Catherine Streets of Elyria; grandchildren, Ashley (Matt) Fannin, Amber Hawley, Stephen (Natalie) Streets, Dustin Streets, Kayla (Brad) Streets, Matthew Hawley and Daniel (fiancée Kelsey) Hawley; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Howard (Barbara) Durham of FL and extended family and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, John in 2001; parents, James and Lummie Durham and brothers, Fred and Terry Durham.

Friends will be received Tuesday, January 27, 2026 from 10:00 am until the time of a 12:00 pm service at Dicken, Dovin & Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria with Reverend Charles T. Diedrick officiating.  Burial will follow in Brookdale Cemetery.
