Cecile Marie Herron Shreve

Cecile Marie Herron Shreve, 88, of LaGrange, died Thursday July 10, 2025.  She was born August 7, 1936 in Biloxi, MS. Marie was a dedicated and caring mother, grandmother, sister, Nana and friend.  She spent her life helping others and was known for her love of cooking and baking.  She retired from Ceilcote in LaGrange after 30 years.

Marie is survived by daughters, Vickie Edgell (Tony), Dorothy Burnett (Charles) and Regina Burnett (Gary) all of LaGrange; sisters, Elsie Christy (Joe) of TX and Annette Proctor of CA; 16 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 30 great-great grandchildren and 22 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Celeste Dobson; sons, Robert, Leon and David Herron; brother, Eugene Waltman and a sister, Jean Cook.

Her family and community will greatly miss her.

Friends will be received Monday, July 14, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria.  A funeral service will be Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at 11:00 am at Refuge Church, 7942 Murray Ridge Road, Elyria with Pastor Chad Britt officiating.  Burial will follow in River Road Cemetery, LaGrange.
