Christine E. Tina Waldecker

Christine E. Tina Waldecker, 58, of Lorain, died Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain after a long illness.

She was born October 13, 1952 in Cleveland and grew up in North Ridgeville. She has been a Lorain County resident most of her life.

She was employed with the former Hyde Greenhouse and Long Greenhouse in Avon and had also worked at Invacare.

Tina enjoyed gardening, traveling, playing bingo, scrapbooking, her 3 cats and her dog Keno.

She is survived by a daughter Shelley J. Chopak and grandson Kade Chopak of Medina; parents Richard and Juanita (nee Gall) Waldecker of North Ridgeville; sisters Laura (Jeff) Schroeder of Elyria, Mary (Jeff) Standen of Westlake and Patricia (Donald) Kominek of North Ridgeville and 5 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by nephew Jeffrey Schroeder in 1992; sisters Mary Strouse in 2003 and Geraldine Smith in 2009; grandparents Henry & Christine Waldecker and Joseph & Julia Gall.

Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of a 7 p.m. funeral service at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave. Elyria.
