Colleen R. Gorby

Colleen R. Gorby, (nee Kelly), 71, of Elyria, passed away peacefully April 3, 2019 at University Hospitals of Cleveland, Cleveland, OH. She was born August 5, 1947 in Elyria and was a 1965 graduate of Elyria High School. For forty eight years Colleen was employed at Rigid Tool Company, Elyria, retiring in 2015 as payroll supervisor. Colleen had a bright, energetic personality and always had a smile. She loved adventure and travel and would often take day or weekend car trips with friends to explore new places. She enjoyed dining out, movies, puzzles and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and had recently become a member of The Red Hats. Colleen is survived by her son, James W. Gorby of Elyria; brother, Richard Kelly of Orland, Indiana and a niece and nephew. She was preceded in death by her mother, Norma M. Kelly in 1992 and father, Earl L. Kelly in 2003. Friends will be received Wednesday April 10, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria.
