Dale R. Hof, 70, of Grafton, died Wednesday May 29, 2024 at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, Cleveland after a six month illness. He was born November 21, 1953 in Cleveland, was a 1972 graduate of Parma High School and received an associate degree from Cuyahoga Community College in architecture. He had been employed by Intertek PSI Cleveland as a tunnel inspector for the North East Ohio sewer district. Dale was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ where he was involved with the acolytes and ushers. He was also a member of the FAGOWEES ski club, enjoyed bowling, was passionate about his home landscaping and enjoyed traveling extensively.
Dale is survived by his wife of 37 years, Mary M. (nee Hottenrott); daughters, Tracey (Daniel) Farris of Grafton and Rebecca (Lane) Whited of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Jack and Nora Farris and a brother, Bruce (Lenore) Hof of Broadview Heights.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Helen Hof.
Friends will be received Monday June 3, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Funeral service will be Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 11:00 am at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 330 Second Street, Elyria. Reverend Brian Burke will officiate.
