Denise Canan Obituary

Denise R. Canan (nee Gusky), 61, of Lorain, passed away October 2, 2023 at O’Neill Healthcare, North Ridgeville. She was born January 20, 1962 in Elyria and was a 1980 graduate of Elyria High School where she played softball. Denise grew up in Elyria and had been a resident of Michigan for 20 years before moving to Lorain. She was an avid sports fan especially of the Browns and enjoyed music and playing dice.

Denise is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Canan of Lorain; son, Nikolaus Canan; grandchildren, Ella, Isaac, Eli, Joe, Nikolai and Natalya; twin sister, Diana Gusky; brother, Steve Gusky and a sister, Sandy Vancs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Patricia (nee Stang) Gusky and brothers, Jude “Rocky” and Michael Gusky.
