Donna Rae Castle

Donna R. Castle (nee Poole), 62, of Wellington, died Sunday December 10, 2023 at Mercy Health Lorain Hospital.  She was born May 15, 1961 in Elyria and was a 1979 graduate of Elyria High School.  In 1986, she earned her nursing degree from Lorain County Community College and retired in August 2023 as an LPN from O’Neill Healthcare.  Donna enjoyed crafting, the internet, traveling, sightseeing and spending time with her grandchildren and dog, Oreo.

Donna is survived by her husband of 8 years, Jeffrey D.; her children, Becky (Matt) Osborne-Vrabel of Fort Wayne, IN, Michael (Michella) Marinchak of Napoleon, Brittany Aufmuth of Cleveland, Brett Grove of Parma and Alexis Brooks of Bryan; step-children, Chelsea Castle of Spokane, WA, Molly Castle of Lakewood and Leslie Castle of Auburn Hills, MI; grandchildren, Riley, Alexzander, Maddie, Lawson, Laker, Logan and Enzo; father, William D. Poole; sister, Darlene (Greg) Garrett; brother; Donald (Louise) Poole and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth D. (nee Hurst) Poole; maternal grandparents, Raymond and Josephine Hurst and paternal grandparents, Donald and Opal Poole.

Friends will be received Friday December 15, 2023 from 5:00 pm until the time of a 7:00 pm service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria.
