Donna R. Kolesar

Donna R. Kolesar (nee Kincannon), 76, of Elyria, went home to be with the Lord October 16, 2023 at Mercy New Life Hospice, Lorain after a lengthy battle with rheumatoid arthritis.  She was born July 7, 1947 in Spring City, TN.  Growing up, Donna and her family attended First Baptist Church of LaGrange.  She was a 1965 graduate of Keystone High School and a 1969 graduate of Cedarville College, Cedarville, Ohio with a bachelor degree in education.  Donna taught 6th and 7th grade English for Avon City Schools, retiring in 1984.  She was an avid reader, loved learning and reading the bible.  She also played the piano, enjoyed solving sudoku puzzles and delving into genealogy research.  During her adult years, her and her husband attended Christ the King Church in North Olmsted. 

Donna is survived by her husband of 41 years, George; brothers, Steven (Dot) Kincannon of Snow Hill, NC, Gary (Karen) Kincannon of LaGrange and Gerald (Sherry) Kincannon of Grafton and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Betty (nee Brown) Kincannon.

Private burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.  A Celebration of Life gathering will be announced at a later date.
