Eileen M. Smith

Eileen M. Smith nee: Foreman, 86, of Elyria, died, Saturday November 20, 2010. She was born August 3, 1924 in Elyria where she had been a life long resident and a 1942 graduate of Elyria High School. Eileen was employed at Ridge Tool Company in Elyria in excess of 32 years, retiring as an assistant payroll manager. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Elyria, was a volunteer at EMH Regional Medical Center with over 7,000 hours service and was formerly active with the Elyria Womans Club.

Eileen is survived by daughters, Judith(Alan)Adams of Solon, Lynn(John)Mckenna and Gail(Ben)Rader both of Elyria; son, Edmund J. Smith, Jr. of Elyria; grandchildren, Ryan D. Adams, Edmund, Dominic and James Piazza, Marjorie and Todd Burrey, Jason Yuhas, Franklin, Karl and Matthew Smith and 16 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund J. Smith in 1987, brother Robert Foreman and a sister, Geraldine Hankowsky.

Friends will be received Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. A funeral service will be Tuesday 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Reverend Dalton Love officiating. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
