Elizabeth J. "Betty" Tecco

Elizabeth Jane Betty Tecco (nee Schnur), 88, a resident of Elyria most of her life, died Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Keystone Pointe Health and Rehabilitation Center in LaGrange.
She was born March 21, 1923 in Cleveland and graduated from Elyria High School.
She earned an LPN degree in Elyria and worked for EMH for 33 years in Pediatrics until she retired in 1993.
She was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Elyria and enjoyed playing golf.
Betty is survived by a daughter Joanie (Rich) Merker of Clifton, VA; son Thomas C. Tecco of Brighton, MI; grandsons Ryan Tecco of California and Brett Merker of Virginia and a great grandson Jonah Tecco.
She was preceded in death by her husband Patrick Tecco in 1981, granddaughter Kara Tecco in 2007, brothers Herman, Robert and Florian Bud Schnur and a sister Josephine Zaletel.
Family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. A funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 300 Third St., Elyria, OH with Fr. Brian K. Wilbert officiating. Burial will be in LaPorte Cemetery, Carlisle Twp.
