Ella Louise Banks

Ella Louise Banks, 65, of Elyria, transitioned Monday July 28, 2025.  She was born November 1, 1959 in Dayton and was a 1977 graduate of Elyria High School.  She received a bachelors degree in business from Wittenberg University and worked as a grounds crew member for Continental Airlines from where she retired.  Ella enjoyed sewing, baking cookies, traveling, riding bikes, listening to music and spending time with family and friends.  She also had a love for plants and connecting with her TM family. 

Ella is survived by siblings, Donna (Moses) Johnson Hutchinson, Lisa Williams, Cathi Holt and Bryce Banks; nieces and nephews, Jimmy, Jasmine, Maurnita and Maurice Williams; best friends, Lisa Godbolt and Angela Melson; special sister-cousin, Vickie Fleder and godchildren, Joshua Walker, Narkita Coleman and Tineka Coleman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Fannie Banks; a brother, Stephen Rolls and a grandmother, Alma “Nana” Wilmore. 

Friends will be received Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 10:00 am until the time of a 12:00 pm service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria with Minister Terry Robinson officiating.  Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
