Glenna Sengstock

Glenna Sengstock (nee Rose), 75, of Elyria, died Tuesday, February 18, 2025 in her home.  She was born March 20, 1949 and was raised in Delta, KY, where she worked the family farm before moving to Elyria in the 1970’s.  Glenna joined Cedar Baptist Church in Wayne County, KY July 17, 1960, was baptized and remained a member.  She loved thrift shopping, fixing things, flower gardening, feeding the squirrels in her backyard and her cats.  Glenna also enjoyed helping the elderly by cutting their hair and taking care of her family. 

Glenna is survived by her husband of 52 years, Stephen J.; children, Johnny Sengstock, Melissa Gedridge and David Sengstock all of Elyria; granddaughter, Brooke Gedridge; sisters, Freda (Regiel) New and Lois (Willard-deceased) Keith and brother-in-law, Robert Trueblood.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ottis and Lillie Rose; sister, Wilma Trueblood and a brother, Harold (Linda) Rose.

Friends will be received Friday, February 21, 2025 from 4:00 pm until the time of a 6:00 pm service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria.  Pastor Chet Beetler of Christ Church West Campus, Elyria will officiate.
