Ida E. Toth

Ida E. Toth nee: Guyer, 92, of Carlisle Township, died Tuesday, February 1, 2011at EMH Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was born May 22, 1918 in Powers, Michigan and has been a 70 year Elyria area resident. Ida had her own catering business and had also been employed at the Elyria Elks Club. She was a 65 year member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a 55 year member of The Carlisle Grange.

She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and enjoyed crocheting, sewing, gardening and making pies for the homeless.

Ida is survived by sons, David(Linda)Toth of LaGrange and James(Janeva)Toth of Wapakoneta, Ohio; daughters, Nancy Toth of Oberlin and Judy Toth of Elyria; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Edward Guyer of Fremont, Ohio and sister, Julia Meszaros of Morrisville, Pennsylvania.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Julius Toth in 2003; brothers, Albert and Carl Guyer; sister, Maryann Guyer and parents, Karl and Julia Mikus.

Friends will be received Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Closing prayers will be Saturday 9:45 AM in the Weigand Room at St. Mary Catholic Church, 320 Middle Avenue, Elyria. A 10:00 AM funeral mass will follow with Reverend Charles T.
