James Addison Bostic, 71, of Elyria, died July 12, 2011 at The Cleveland Clinic.
He was born July 2, 1940 in Boomer, WV, moved to Cleveland in 1966 and to Lorain County in 1981. He was employed for thirty years at American Mailwell in Brooklyn, OH, retiring in 2008. He attended Calvary Baptist Church, enjoyed nature, history and fishing and was a good and caring husband and friend to many.
Jim is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lydia R. (nee McBride); brothers Tom (Wilma) Bostic of Parma, Lannie Coon of Westlake, Larry (Sue) Coon of Glen Ferris, WV, George and Donald Coon of Cleveland and a sister Donna (Larry) Smith of Cleveland; stepchildren James (Marsha) McBride, Duane (Gayle) Kelsey, Elane Barber and Curtiss (Kathi) Kelsey; grandchildren Derek (Barbi) Kelsey, Ben Kelsey, Laura (Mike) Prokop, Ryan Kelsey and James Reed; great grandchildren Verek and Veronica Kelsey and Kirsten Reed and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Sam Barker and Mildred Coon; sister Rebecca Shaeffer; brother Roger Coon and a nephew David McBride.
Friends will be received Sunday, July 24, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of a 3:00 p.m. service at Calvary Baptist Church, 114 Hope Ct., Elyria, OH. Reverend Dean Davidson will officiate and memorial contributions may be made to the church.
