Obituary
Jane A. Eddy (nee Lose), 96, of Oberlin, died August 24, 2023. She was born February 5, 1927 in Findlay and was a graduate of Medina High School and Oberlin College. She was employed as a teacher for Weymouth Schools before marriage and later as a YWCA director in Medina. Jane was an avid Unitarian Universalist and a certified lay leader. She enjoyed reading, watching the birds and loved all animals, especially cats.
Jane is survived by children, Melissa Eddy (Tracy Schiemenz) of Kingsland, TX, Gregory Eddy (special friend Karen LaBranche) of Claremont, NH, and Jason Eddy (Lynne) of Lucas, OH; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two step-granddaughters and eight step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Ernie D., in 2022 and her parents, Wilbur D. and Helen (nee Buck) Lose.
A memorial service will be Sunday, October 29, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Kendal at Oberlin, 600 Kendal Drive, Oberlin, Ohio 44074.
