Jean Marie (nee Motto) Linden, 66, of Sullivan, died November 9, 2024 in her home following a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family and beloved dogs. She was born May 7, 1958 in Elyria, grew up in Grafton and was a 1976 graduate of Midview High School. Jean worked at several area machine shops where she was known for her dedication and hard work. A farm girl at heart, she and her husband, Mike, lived at their Sullivan family farm for 28 years. She loved sharing her home and animals, hosting countless parties, campouts and gatherings. Porch-sitting with Jean was a special gift when family and friends were forever touched by her humility, kindness and compassion. And as Mike always said, “Jean has the prettiest smile you’ll ever see!”
Jean is survived by her husband of 32 years, Mike; her beloved daughter, Denise Montoney; many aunts, uncles, nephews, in-laws and dear friends who were family; as well as her animal family, Angus, Sienna, Belly and Popcorn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Theresa and Henry Motto and a brother, Joe. We find joy knowing she is reunited with them, rejoicing together in heaven.
The family is deeply touched by all the love and support during this difficult time and sincere gratitude to the staff of Pathways Hospice, Ontario, Ohio.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Friendship Animal Protective League, 8303 Murray Ridge Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035 to honor Jean’s love of animals.
