Jerry L. Williams, 71, of Grafton, died, Saturday, October 16, 2010 at his home. He was born April 15, 1939 in Elyria and attended Elyria High School. He worked for the city of Elyria for 9 years and then was employed at LTV(Republic Steel)in Elyria for 33 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of United Steelworkers of America Local #3224, Elyria Moose Lodge #778 and was an auxiliary member of North Ridgeville V.F.W. #9871. His hobbies included; hunting, fishing, traveling to casinos and spending time with his wife and family.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carol J. nee: Palagyi; daughters, Christine M.(David)Kuss of Cleveland and Lisa E.(Brian)Forbush of LaGrange; grandchildren, Christopher Williams, Erica Shaffstall, Amy Kelley and Paige and Brooke Forbush; 7grandchildren; brother, Charles E.(Marti)Williams of Elyria; sister, Dianna R.(Richard)Johnson of Satsuma, FL.

He was preceded in death by sons, Edward C. Williams in 1991, Larry J. Williams in 2006 and 3 infant sons; parents, Lawrence D. Williams in 1983 and Eleanore O. Williams in 1996.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. A funeral mass will be Wednesday 11:00 AM at St. Martin of Tours, 1800 Station Road, Valley City, OH. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria.
