Joan J. McNulty (nee Perkins), 94 of Elyria, died Tuesday January 20, 2026 at Main Street Care Center, Avon Lake. She was born March 22, 1931 in Cleveland and adopted at birth. Her family, home and music brought joy to her life. She was a long-time member of Washington Avenue Christian Church. After her husband's death, her dogs Abby then Lucy became her joyous companions.
Joan is survived by her children, Patricia (Paul) Dahm of Elyria, Carol (Mike) Tracy of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and Tom (Tina) McNulty of LaGrange; grandchildren, Cara (Nico) Weber, Jamie Lesesky, Kelsey (Chip) Mitchell, Trisha (Justin) Dahm, Nickolas (Jenna) Dahm, Scott (Brie) Dahm, Ashley (Dave) Aubin, Matt Tracy, Dylan (Karen) Tracy and Megan (Mike) Wenzel, Morgan (Adam) Bartinelli, Marlie McNulty and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, George R. “Bob” McNulty in 2009; daughter, Diane L. Lesesky in 2015; brother, Arthur Perkins, Jr.; sister, Darlene Rose and her parents, Helen and Arthur Perkins, Sr.
Joan’s family thanks her at home caregivers and the caring nurses and staff at Main Street Care Center and a special thank you to her dear friend, Maryjane Penick for all the visits and love.
Friends will be received Friday January 30, 2026 from 11:00 am until the time of a 12:00 pm memorial service at Dicken, Dovin & Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria with Reverend Nathan A. Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
