Joanne Thomas (nee Schaffer), 72, of Elyria, beloved mother and grandmother passed away Saturday January 3, 2026. She was born November 7, 1953 in Elyria and worked as a district manager at the Chronicle Telegram for many years before dedicating her time and attention to caring for her family.

Joanne is survived by her children; Angie (Keith) Joseph, Matthew (Marissa) Thomas; grandsons Noah and Miles as well as many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Margaret Schaffer).

Rest in Peace Joanne you will be deeply missed.
