John Gary Clifford

John Gary Clifford, 65, of Elyria, died October 13, 2024.  He was born November 10, 1958 in Fairview Park, graduated from Midview/JVS High School and began a 40 year career in the HVAC trade.  He was lovingly called Gary by his family whom he loved deeply and the time spent with them.  Gary’s parents immigrated from Scotland and settled in North Eaton, where they built the family home he grew up in. He enjoyed restoring antique motorcycles and anything vintage especially old tools. He had a green thumb and really took great pride in caring for his yard and various plantings.

Gary is survived by his former spouse, Debbie Clifford and their children, Brian Clifford, Mary Teixeira (Matheus) and Shannon Clifford. Papa to grandsons, Nicholas Clifford, Odin Clifford, Sebastian Teixeira, and Calum Teixeira. Also survived by sisters, Mary Bunce (Hap), Patricia Kohl and Maureen Reid (Jim) and a large extended family of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary (nee McAndrew) Clifford.
