Judith A. Ruth

Judith A. Ruth (nee Lindsay), 82, of Elyria, died Monday January 6, 2025.  She was born January 11, 1942 in Pittsburgh, PA where she was a 1960 graduate of Oliver High School.  She received a degree as a registered nurse from Shadyside Hospital School of Nursing in 1963 and was employed at Bellevue Suburban General Hospital.  Judy moved to Elyria in 1967 and was employed at EMH Regional Medical Center until 1977 and then at HCR Manor Care Rocky River Cleveland until retiring.  She was a founding member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Elyria.  She had a servant’s heart and enjoyed cooking and serving food to family and friends. She was dedicated to her family and loved being a mom.

Judy is survived by a son, Adam G. Ruth of Elyria; grandchildren, Kaleb and Lilly Ruth and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Gerald R. Ruth in 2009; son, Matthew K. Ruth in 2019; parents, Milton and Dorothy Lindsay; sisters, Donna Fiscus and Virginia Gustis and a brother, Milton Lindsay, Jr.

Friends will be received Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 11:00 am until the time of a 1:00 pm service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria with Reverend Peter VonBlon officiating.  Private burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
