Katherine "Kathy" M. Clift

Katherine M. Clift (nee Seaman), 79, of Elyria, died Wednesday, November 6, 2024, surrounded by her family.  She was born February 9, 1945 in Elyria, was a graduate of Keystone High School and St. Joseph Nursing School.  In high school, she played coronet in band, sang soprano in choir and was a member of the National Honor Society.  For 30 years, Kathy was an LPN at St. Joseph Hospital in Lorain and retired from Community Care Center.  Kathy and her husband, Dick, enjoyed many years of boating with friends at Valley Harbor Marina in Vermillion.  Kathy loved spending time with her family, crafting, reading, collecting shells on her favorite island, Little Gasparilla, and looking for beach glass.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 61 years, Richard D.; daughters, Denise (Marty) Clift-Devine of Pittsburgh, PA and DeeAnn Stawicki of Elyria; grandchildren, Matthew (Brandee) Stawicki and Rachael (Mat) Williams; great grandchildren, Kimber Williams, Jensen Stawicki and Peyton Irvin; sister, Karen Ely and a brother, David Seaman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edythe and Harry Seaman, Jr and a son-in-law, Chris Stawicki.
