Kathleen L. Chapman

Kathleen L. Chapman, 75, of Lorain, died Thursday, December 26, 2024 at Mercy Health-Lorain Hospital.  She was born June 18, 1949 in Amherst and was a 1967 graduate of Lorain High School.  Kathy attended and later taught at Lorain Business College.  For many years, she owned and operated Chapman’s Food Mart on West Erie Avenue in Lorain.  Kathy was an avid bowler, sponsored many tournaments and was a 700 series bowler.  She enjoyed shopping and growing indoor plants.

Kathy is survived by sons, Gary Luman of Lorain, John (Halley Grace) Luman of Amherst and Matthew Chapman of Amherst; grandchildren, Aaron, Kyle, Gary Jr. and So and great-grandchildren, Harper and Benjamin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Elsie Disler.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
