Lemuel R. Greene

Lemuel “Lem” Randolph Greene, 87, of Elyria, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at Life Care Center of Elyria, following a lengthy illness. He was born May 7, 1938, in Raleigh County, WV.

Lem worked for 45 years for Wellman Products (Hawk Group, previously SK Wellman, Sintermet and Abex) in Brook Park as a maintenance electrician and supervisor and later as a building maintenance supervisor at their Research and Development facility in Solon.

He is survived by son, Larry (Janet) Greene; daughters, Tina (Bill) Bashak and Dawn Jackson; grandchildren Janelle Greene, Brandon and Alex Bires, Brande Wright, Danielle Green, Megan Bashak and Natasha Greene; 16 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; sisters Patricia Cawley, Pauline Kaine and Lois Plato and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Geneva, in 2018; daughter, Terri Bires;  parents, Robert and Dollie Greene; brother, Kennith Greene; sister, Retha Randolph; grandson, Nick Bires and grand-daughter, Raven Jackson.

There will be no visitation.
