Loretta J. "Lori" Dakters

Loretta J. Lori Dakters, 70, of Elyria, died Monday, December 3, 2007 at William Childs Hospice House, Palm Bay, Florida.
She was born October 18, 1937 in Cleveland, and had been a resident of Elyria since 1969.
She was a 1955 graduate of Notre Dame Academy, Cleveland. She enjoyed spending the winter months in Florida and was a devoted baseball fan, especially, Cleveland Indians Baseball.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, J. George Dakters, M.D.; sons, Russell G. (Vicki) of Elyria, Richard P. (Tracie) of Elyria, Gregory J. (Megan) of Stow; and daughter, Ann E. (Scott) Kasch of Melbourne, Florida. Also surviving are nine grandchildren; brother, Edward J. (Dolores) Miller of Broadview Heights; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward H. Miller in 1997 and Doris E. (nee Armbruster) in 2003.
Visitation will be Friday, December 7, 2007, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave. Elyria, where Closing Prayers will be said Saturday, December 8, 2007 at 9:15 A.M. followed by a 10 A.M. funeral at St. Jude Church, 590 Poplar St., Elyria. The Rev. Frank P. Kosem, Pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Church or the William Childs Hospice House, 381 Medplex Pkwy., Palm Bay, Florida 32905.
