Marion L. Kent

Marion L. Kent (nee: Gruse), 87, of Elyria, died August 20, 2011 at EMH Healthcare. She was born September 13, 1923 in Elyria, where she was a lifetime resident and a 1941 graduate of Elyria High School. Marion was employed at Western Automatic in Elyria, retiring in 1980. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Elyria American Legion Post # 12 Auxiliary and Elyria VFW Post # 1079 Auxiliary.

Marion is survived by daughters, Karol (Al) Leppien of Elyria and Mary (Ron) Lewis of Parma; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Arnold E. in 2008; parents Eric and Margaret Gruse and a sister, Dorothy Schnarr.

A service for the family was held Monday, August 22, 2011 at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria, with Reverend Dalton D. Love officiating. Burial was in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria. Memorial contributions may be made to the Friendship Animal Protective League, 8303 Murray Ridge Road, Elyria.
