Marjorie J. Strom

Marjorie J. Strom, 81, of Placentia, CA and formerly of Elyria, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior June 26, 2010.

Marjorie was born February 5, 1929 in Elyria, the daughter of William and Marjorie Griffin and had been a 40 year resident of Fullerton, CA. She was a member of First United Presbyterian Church in Elyria and an active member of First Evangelical Free Church in Fullerton. Marjorie was a homemaker in the fullest sense of the word, with her family being her pride and joy.

She was a devoted mother to her children: David; Kathleen; James; Kenneth; Philip and Mark, anchoring them with constant love and teaching them the Way of Life through the Lord Jesus Christ. Marjorie is also survived by 23 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, John R. Strom, in 1993.

A memorial service will be Friday, 11 a.m. July 2, 2010 at First United Presbyterian Church, 200 East Ave., Elyria. The Rev. Rick Stein will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Wycliffe Bible Translators, P.O. Box 628200, Orlando, FL 32862. Dicken Funeral Home, Elyria is in charge of arrangements.
