Marjorie G. Westfall

Marjorie G. Westfall, (nee: Swiers) 83, of Elyria, died Sunday, July 17, 2011 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain. She was born October 29, 1927 in Henrietta, Ohio where she graduated from Henrietta High School in 1945. She worked as a beautician for many years in Elyria and was a member of First United Methodist Church. Marjorie was a phenomenal baker, enjoyed traveling and was dedicated to her family. She is survived by sons, Dennis E. (Dianne) Westfall of Elyria, Jerry C. (Cindy) Westfall of Valley City, Ohio; daughter, Sue (Joe Jarrell) Westfall of Charleston, West Virginia; granddaughters, Laura (Dennis) Breese of Elyria, Angie (Matt) Planisek of Avon, Megan (Jason) Hechko of Grafton and Sarah (Dan) Ward of Amherst; great grandchildren, Maisy, Marley, Jeremy, Gavin, Jillian and Mallory and a sister, LaVonne Gottschling of Elyria.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Fred W. in 1997; parents, Albert and Gladys Swiers; brothers, Wesley and Albert Swiers and sisters, Phyllis Maddock and Esther Schneider.

Friends will be received Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:30 PM at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. A funeral service will be Thursday 11:00 AM in the funeral home with Reverend Roger G. Talbott officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, South Amherst. Memorial contributions may be made to Lorain County MetroParks, 12882 Diagonal Road, Lagrange, 44050.
