Mark E. Szabo

Mark E. Szabo, 63, of Lorain, died Friday June 27, 2025 in his home.  He was born November 19, 1961 in Detroit, MI and was a 1980 graduate of Lorain High School.  From 1983-1985 he served with the US Marine Corps.  He had been employed for the City of Lorain in the street department and water treatment department and for Safeway Driving School as a driving instructor.  Mark was a member of Cleveland Teamsters Local 507.  He enjoyed working on cars and fishing. 

Mark is survived by his wife of 20 years, Pamela; son, Mark E. (Kayla Prestwood) Szabo II; daughter, Misty Baugh; brother, James (Chris) Szabo; sisters, Melodi Jones, Grace Szabo, Patty (Pete) Poore and Andrea Szabo and nieces and nephews, Dante, Bianca, Sasha, Pete Jr., Shawna, John, Michael, Kristen, Isobel, Eva and Vivianne.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Melba Szabo and a brother, John.

Friends will be received Monday, July 7, 2025 from 5:00 pm until the time of a 7:00 pm service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria with Reverend Charles T. Diedrick officiating. Burial will be Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at 12:15 pm at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Seville, Ohio.
