Mary Jane Shepard

Mary Jane Shepard, 91, of Elyria, passed away Saturday June 7, 2025 at Wesleyan Village, Elyria.  She was born June 18, 1933 in Wellington and was a 1951 graduate of Wellington High School.  She moved to Elyria in 1953 and was employed at Elyria Telephone Company for 17 years.  In 1970, she was employed at Lorain National Bank until retiring in 1996.  She loved reading, going to the movies, watching the Cleveland Cavaliers and attending Wellington High School sports.

Mary Jane is survived by a sister, Gloria Lowery of Spencer and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clayton and Dorothy Shepard; brothers, Earl and Paul Shepard and sisters, Ruth Krieg, Lois Lynch, Carol Toby, Freda Dague and Kay Hudson.

Friends will be received Tuesday, June 10, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria.  A funeral service will be Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at 10:00 am in the funeral home with Reverend Kurt D. Walker officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington.
