Michael J. Horvath, Sr.

Michael J. Horvath, Sr., 56, of Elyria, passed away unexpectedly Saturday March 1, 2025 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center.  He was born April 11, 1968 in Elyria and attended Elyria High School.  For the past 13 years, Mike has been employed as a non-destructive tester at Crane Aerospace and Electronics in Elyria.  He enjoyed time with his grandchildren, golf, bowling, darts and 3-D printing. 

Mike is survived by his wife of 23 years, Kim (nee Foley); children, Sue Horvath, Tina Duvall and Michael Horvath; step-children, Jessica (Daniel) Adkins and Emily (Robert) Taylor; grandchildren, Alex Horvath, JJ Duvall, Aubriana Taylor, Olivia Taylor, Adelise Taylor, Daniel Adkins and Robbie Taylor; sister, Charlotte (Rodger) Whitesel; brothers, Carl (Carolyn) Walker, Jr. and Paul (Debbie) Walker; five additional brothers and sisters and his father-in-law, Tom Foley.

He was preceded in death by his step-son, Kenneth Shinafelt and his parents, Carl Walker and Ellen Horvath.

Friends will be received Friday, March 7, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria.
