Nancy J. Joviak

Nancy J. Joviak (nee Barndollar), 84, of Elyria, died Friday, February 16, 2024 at Life Care Center of Elyria.  She was born August 2, 1939 in Elyria and was a graduate of Elyria High School.  Nancy had been employed as a teacher’s aide at Franklin Elementary School.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Elyria, Lorain County Genealogical Society and volunteered for the Lorain County Metro Parks.  Nancy enjoyed camping, sewing, knitting, playing the piano and cutting silhouettes.

Nancy is survived by sons, Nathan (Denise) Joviak of Macedonia and Kurt (Coreen) Joviak of Grafton; grandchildren, Derek (Dani) Timbers, Kristin (Rob) Janke, Katie (Greg) Holloway, Kassie (Caleb) Newcomer, Kailyn Joviak and Kalyssa Joviak; great-grandchildren, Kilian Joviak, Ava Timbers, Evelynn Newcomer, Jeffrey, Mason, Drake and Aria; sister, Molly Milner and granddaughter-in-law, Elisa Joviak.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, David in 2017; grandson, Nicholas Joviak and parents, Dale and Dorothy Barndollar.

Friends will be received Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Elyria, 11400 LaGrange Road, Elyria.  A funeral service will be Friday, February 23, 2024 at 10:00 am in the church with Pastor Dave Burman, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
