Nancy K. Miller, 83, passed away peacefully in her sleep Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at the Wesleyan Village following a lengthy illness. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Nancy was born February 28, 1940 in Manor, Pennsylvania, daughter to Frederick G. Miller and Anise Miller (nee Duez).
The family moved to Elyria, Ohio where Nancy attended school. After graduating from Elyria High School she attended Bowling Green State University and earned her degree in Biology. She spent the majority of her professional career working in the lab at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Sarasota, Florida. After retirement, she moved back to Elyria. Throughout her career, she was known for her hard work, dedication, and passion for helping others.
More than anything, Nancy was a devoted Christian. She attended the Gathering Church. Nancy attended Ladies Bible Study at the Church of the Open Door and started a prayer group at the Wesleyan Village. She enjoyed spending time with her church family and friends.
In her free time, Nancy enjoyed birdwatching and belonged to the Audubon Society. She loved hiking and exploring new trails. Always eager to share her knowledge and enthusiasm with others. She was an active member of her community, volunteering with different churches, the Metro Parks, and delivering meals.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Anise and Frederick Miller and her brother, Frederick Miller IX.
Nancy is survived by her loving sisters, Frances Miller of Elyria, Ohio, Janice Clinton (Walter Clinton) of Fargo, North Dakota; sister-in-law, Julie Miller of Elyria, Ohio; one niece; many nephews; and even more great-nieces and nephews.
