NATALIE “NAN” LIVERGOOD, 99, of Sidney, Ohio and formerly of Elyria, passed away Monday, May 13, 2024 at her residence. She was born September 7, 1924 in Brockton, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Arnold and Mabel (nee Scholler) Kenyon. She was a 1945 graduate of Grinnell College and married Arthur Livergood June 9, 1947. Nan was a speech pathologist for over 30 years, retiring from the Elyria City Schools in 1986.
She had been an active member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, Elyria, sang in the choir and served as a volunteer in numerous capacities. She was also a member of the Book Club and couples Bridge Club and a member with her husband of the Cosmopolitan Dance Club. Nan enjoyed getting together with friends and family and loved hosting dinner parties. After the passing of her husband, Nan enjoyed the last 7 years in Sidney, living with her daughter. During that time, she became a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church.
Nan is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Tacconelli of Sidney; grandchildren, Leslie (Kevin) Higgins, Stephanie Dembski, Jeff (Julie) Jowett and Kevin Jowett; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Arthur in November 8, 2012; daughters, Barbara Jowett and Leslie Kay Livergood; two brothers and a sister.
Friends will be received Monday, May 20, 2024 from 10:00 am until the time of an 11:00 am memorial service at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave, Sidney, Ohio 45365.
