Pamela S. McKelley, 72, peacefully passed away August 7, 2025, at Life Care Center of Medina after a spirited battle with Dementia.
Pamela was born to the late Rudy and Wanda Prestier, June 10, 1953, in Canton. She graduated from Perry High School in 1972 and received her associate’s degree in business from Kent State Stark in 1991. Pamela lived in Massillon most of her life, where she raised her two kids.
Pamela is survived by her children, Adam (Tami) McKelley and Amanda (Sean) Foltz; her two greatest joys, her grandchildren, Hunter and Grant, and many family and friends.
Known for her flair for fashion, her passion for decorating, and her outgoing personality and vivacity, Pamela stood out as a brilliant example of determination, strength, and a sprinkle of sass. Her hard-working nature was an inspiration to many. She was known for her “There’s nothing we can’t do!” mantra, teaching her children that no matter what life throws at them, giving up is not an option. No matter what she faced, she was always determined to overcome the odds. Because of how she faced life’s trials, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. There was no quit in Pamela, and although she is no longer here, she never lost her fight. Pamela was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind many beautiful memories and life lessons that will surely carry on through generations. As her health declined and her memories became less vivid, her love for her family shone in her beautiful blue eyes, her smile, and her infectious laugh. Her greatest and most rewarding role in life was being a mother and proud MeMa. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for her family. She will be immensely missed by the family and friends she leaves behind.
At Pamela’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Instead, a small gathering to celebrate her life will be held for the immediate family only.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at https://www2.breakthrought1d.org/
