Phyllis A. Schramm
Phyllis A. Schramm (nee Wagner), 85, of New Russia Township, died Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Life Care Center of Elyria.
She was born August 9, 1924 in Elyria and was a 1942 graduate of Elyria High School. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, sang in the choir and was active in the womens guild of the church.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, sewing and crafts and helped her husband with the family farm.
She had resided at Life Care Center since 2007 and for two years, was resident council president.
Phyllis is survived by daughters Elaine R. (Douglas) King of New Russia Township and Patricia A. (Daniel) Miller of Upper Sandusky; grandchildren George and Nicholas King, Jeanette Simon and Danielle Gatchell and seven great grandchildren.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, Burnell J. Bud Schramm in 2004; sister Mildred E. Henes in 2003 and parents Edward and Hattie Wagner.
The family will receive friends Sunday, 5 to 7 p.m. at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave. Elyria. A funeral service will be Monday 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul United Church of Christ, 9715 East River Rd.., Elyria. Reverend Allen H. Grothe will officiate with burial in South Murray Ridge Cemetery, Carlisle Township.
