Randolph Lee R.L. Buckland

Randolph Lee R.L. Buckland, 72, of Elyria, died Tuesday June 15, 2010 at EMH Regional Medical Center. He was born March 10, 1938 in Cranberry, West Virginia. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1956 to 1959 and has been a resident of Elyria since 1968. He was employed by Cleveland Builder Supply and then Ideal Builders Supply, retiring in 2001.

He was a life member of DAV Raleigh County Chapter 18.

Randolph is survived by his wife, of 55 years, Shirley Ann; sons, Randall, Robert and Todd of Elyria, Allen of Cleveland and Raymond of Maple Heights; daughters, Deborah Buckland, Edwina Rhodes and Julie Smith all of Elyria; grandchildren, Frank, Matt, Karl, Bryan, Adam, Sara, Amanda, Joe, Anthony, Dylan and Cassidy; great grandchildren, Trace, Zoey, Raif, Wyatt, Tiana and Tori; brothers, David Buckland of Elyria and Donald Buckland of West Virginia; sisters, Sharon Komendera of California, and Gerri Jones of Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Randolph and Rosalie Buckland and a granddaughter, Beth Ann Rhodes.

Visitation will be Saturday 11:30 A.M. until the time of a 1:30 P.M. service at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Pastor Rodney Hollen will officiate. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, where Elyria VFW #1079 will conduct military services. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 10501 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, 44106 or charity of donors choice.
