Richard Allen Pierce

Richard Allen Pierce, 70, of Elyria, died June 10, 2024 in his home.  He was born March 4, 1954 in Elyria and was a 1972 graduate of Elyria High School.  Rick served with the US Army and was stationed in Germany.  He retired from Willoway Nurseries as a truck driver in­­­­­­­­­­­ 2012.  Rick enjoyed making birdhouses, painting and hiding rocks and making photo collages of family members and his beloved pets.  He was also a member of the NRA. 

Rick is survived by his children, Scott (Sharon) Pierce of Elyria, Brent Wooddell of KY, Brandi Wooddell of Elyria and Nicole (Alan) Andrewski of Elyria; mother, Helen V. Pierce of Elyria; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings, Donna Henry, Kathy (John) Zeller and Judy Pierce; 5 nephews and a niece.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harmon Pierce; brother, Douglas Pierce and a sister, Rebecca Parker.

Friends will be received Friday, June 14, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria.
