Robert Baker Obituary

Robert T.C. Baker, 80, of North Ridgeville, Ohio passed away July 7, 2024 at Ames Family Hospice, Westlake. He was born January 17, 1944 in Hamilton, Ohio, the oldest child of Robert T.M. and Theresa M. (nee Gentile) Baker. Bob was a 1962 graduate of Hamilton Garfield High School and a trumpet player in the band. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, solving crossword puzzles and building very integrate sailing ship models. He completed numerous self-training courses including special seminars at Dynamit Nobel in Troisdorf, Germany and in 1974 graduated cum laude in Industrial Management from Lincoln Extension Institute. He was a pioneer in Fiberglass Reinforced Plastics and Thermo-plastic construction for over 23 years for Justin Enterprises Inc. Fairfield, Ohio, Corofac, Mantua and the Ceilcote Company, Berea, Ohio where he began another 20 years in the Information Technology Industry with Vista Data Systems, North Royalton, Ohio and Oak Printing Company, Strongsville, Ohio overseeing Manufacturing and Accounting Computer Systems for many large companies. Bob retired in 2006.

On February 2, 1962 in Hamilton, Ohio Bob married the late Karen L. (nee Justice) Baker bearing a wonderful loving daughter, Lisa L. Baker. On November 7, 1969 in Hamilton, Ohio Bob married Carol A. (nee McKewin) Seamans, mother of Robert, Rick, David and Mary Ann Seamans of Courtland, New York. On December 10, 1967 in Berea, Ohio Bob and Carol were blessed with another wonderful and loving daughter, Tina M. Baker.

Bob is survived by his most loving and caring wife, Carol A. Baker who stood with him no matter what. She provided all his care and comfort, may God reward her for all her love and care giving.

He is survived by daughter, Lisa (Jeffrey) Detherage; grandchildren, Brittany (Jason) Galbreath, Travis (Stephanie) Crouch, and Austin Crouch; great grandchildren, Gracin Galbreath, Emma Galbreath and James Crouch of Hamilton, Ohio. He is also survived by daughter, Tina M (William) Sexton; grandson, Troy D. Sexton of North Ridgeville, Ohio; his magnificent brother, Paul J. (Betty) Baker of Williston, Florida; niece, Sonya (Jason) Crutcher; nephews, Paul Baker, Brian Baker of Hamilton, Ohio and Dominic Baker of Williston, Florida; an estranged sister, Deborah K. (Wes) Flannery of Hamilton, Ohio and nephews, Wes and Jeramie.
