Robert W. Defibaugh, Sr.

Robert W. Rob Defibaugh, Sr., 36, of Elyria, died December 11, 2010 surrounded by family after a short illness.

He was born May 15, 1974 in Lorain, where he grew up and graduated from Southview High School. He had lived most of his life in Lorain until moving to Elyria eight years ago. He was formerly employed with Convenient Food Mart in Lorain as store manager several years.

He enjoyed American and military history, poker, baseball, football and reading writings of Edgar Allen Poe.

Rob is survived by his spouse Alonda Brown. He and Alonda spent much of their time together at his mothers home, where he died Saturday Alls well that ends well. Also surviving is a son Robert R.J. Jr., of Elyria; mother Bunice E. Defibaugh of Elyria; sisters Donna Ramirez of Lorain, Linda Ball and Ellen Wright, both of Elyria; brothers Alan Defibaugh of Seattle, WA, Richard and Eric Defibaugh, both of Elyria and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday, December 17, 2010 from 4 to 8 p.m. at East Carlisle Elementary School, 1959 Grafton Rd., Elyria, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McKinley Elementary School, 620 East River Rd., Elyria, OH 44035.
