Robert Steven Tipton

Robert “Steve” Tipton, 66, of Elyria, died Tuesday July 2, 2024 in his home.  He was born June 3, 1958 in Cleveland, was a 1977 graduate of Lincoln West High School, Cleveland and moved to Elyria in 1988.  He had been employed as a machinist, repairing electrical motors for Westinghouse Electric Company, Reliance Electric Company and Commercial Electric Products.  Steve enjoyed CB radios, music and cleaning his cars.

Steve is survived by his wife of 44 years, Peggy Ann (nee Williams); daughter, Linda (Chris) Peck; granddaughters, Isabella Teeter and Julissa Smith and nephews, Tony and Christopher.

He was preceded in death by a son, Steve in 2021; parents, Robert and Mamie Tipton; sisters, Tina Ogle and brothers, Gary and James.

Friends will be received Tuesday, July 9, 2024 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria.
