Rosetta M. (nee Moman) Paris, 99, of Elyria, died Friday August 8, 2025. She was born January 5, 1926 in New London and was a 1946 graduate of New London High School. She moved to Elyria in 1956 and was a school crossing guard for 20 years. Rosetta was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and enjoyed playing cards, music and sending cards to people.
Rosetta is survived by children, Jacqueline (Shirish) Chitanvis of Beacon, NY, Carolyn PhD (Norman) Pember of LaGrange, Denise (Rodney) Reynolds of Lorain, Sandra Paris-Moore of Broadview Heights, Joyce (William) Scales of Elyria and Anthony (Vickie) Paris of Miamisburg and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Walter Lynn Paris in 1996; daughter, Gwendolyn Sills; son, Roderick Paris; parents, Eli and Margaret Moman; sister, Forestine Moman and brothers, Donald, Arnold and Jesse Moman.
Friends will be received for the viewing Monday, August 18, 2025 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and services will begin at 12:15 pm at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 39099 Chestnut Ridge Road, Elyria with Elder Rodney Reynolds officiating. Services will also be on Zoom, meeting ID: 835 6497 0626, password: WestElyria. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
